How the travel map works

Create color-coded lists and mark countries, Brazilian states, or municipalities. Zoom, drag, and open the map fullscreen. Changes are recovered automatically in this browser, while a downloaded .cosmomap file lets you continue elsewhere.

Detail and statistics

The World view includes an inset of Brazilian states. The overview shows continents reached, marked countries, known municipalities, and territorial coverage without double-counting overlapping countries, states, and municipalities.

Editable and visual formats

Use the CosmoMap file to preserve the title, lists, colors, marks, and current tab. Export PNG for documents and presentations or SVG for scalable printing.

Privacy and local processing

Your lists and travel history remain on your device. The tool has no account or database, and opening a file does not upload it to CosmoTools.

Important limitation

A downloaded file is a snapshot. Download it again after further edits to update your backup. The file does not provide simultaneous collaboration or a permanent shared URL.

Frequently asked questions

Is my travel information uploaded?

No. The map is edited and stored locally in your browser. A file is only read when you choose or drop it.

How do I continue on another device?

Download the editable .cosmomap file, transfer it to the other device, and use Open file to continue.

What is the difference between .cosmomap, PNG, and SVG?

The .cosmomap file preserves lists and marks for editing. PNG and SVG are visual exports for documents, presentations, or printing.

Can I mark Brazilian states separately?

Yes. Switch from World to Brazil · states and apply any of your lists to individual states.

Can I add Brazilian municipalities?

Yes. Search the Brazil · municipalities tab and add a municipality as a colored point at its municipal seat.

How is the territorial percentage calculated?

Each marked country, state, or municipality counts as known in full. More detailed Brazilian marks replace their broader region to avoid counting the same area twice.
