How the tool works

Upload one image, choose a three-column layout from one to four rows, then choose whether to fill and crop or preserve the whole image with colored borders. In crop mode, drag or zoom the composition behind the numbered grid. Generate equal 1080 × 1080 tiles and download each file with its posting-order instruction.

Supported input and output

JPEG, PNG, and WebP sources and outputs are supported. Layouts include 3 × 1, 3 × 2, 3 × 3, and 3 × 4, written as columns by rows. Every exported tile is square.

Practical example

A 3 × 3 composition creates nine files. The image is cropped once across the complete working area, then split along shared pixel boundaries so adjacent tiles retain the same visual edge.

Common use cases

Create profile mosaics, campaign reveals, event announcements, photography walls, product launches, and other images designed to span several profile posts.

Limits and important checks

Profile previews and platform behavior can change, and later posts will move an existing mosaic down the profile. Use a high-resolution source because every tile is exported at 1080 × 1080.

Privacy and local processing

Unless the tool explicitly identifies an external lookup, input and generated output are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to CosmoTools. Avoid placing secrets in any web page and review downloaded results before using them in production.

Frequently asked questions

What order should I post the tiles?

Use the posting-order number shown on each generated tile, starting with 1 and ending with the highest number.

Are the tiles uploaded or stored?
