What is a Pix Copia e Cola code?
Pix Copia e Cola is the textual payload encoded by a Pix QR Code. It follows BR Code and EMV TLV conventions: every field has an identifier, a byte length, and a value. The final CRC16 field helps detect accidental changes, while nested templates carry Pix-specific data such as a key, TXID, or dynamic charge URL.
How the tool works
Paste the complete Pix Copia e Cola text and select Decode and validate. The browser reads each EMV field as tag, byte length, and value, recursively decodes the Pix merchant account and additional-data templates, extracts the main payment information, and compares the transmitted CRC16 with an independent CRC16/CCITT-FALSE calculation.
Supported input and output
Pix Copia e Cola uses the Brazilian BR Code profile of the EMV merchant-presented QR format. Static Pix normally carries a Pix key in the code and may include an amount and TXID. Dynamic Pix carries a charge location without the protocol; the payer application retrieves the authoritative amount, TXID, and other charge details from that URL.
Practical example
A static payload can identify GUI br.gov.bcb.pix, a recipient key, currency 986, country BR, recipient name and city, optional amount, and tag 62.05 for the TXID. A dynamic payload instead uses the Pix subfield 25 for its location. Unknown root and nested tags remain visible in the technical table rather than being discarded.
Common use cases
Use the decoder to troubleshoot an integration, inspect a copied BR Code before placing it in a test fixture, compare field lengths, find a malformed nested template, confirm whether a payload is static or dynamic, and diagnose a CRC mismatch without sending financial data to a third-party decoder.
Limits and important checks
A structurally valid payload and matching CRC confirm formatting and integrity only. They do not authenticate the recipient, query the DICT, open the dynamic charge URL, verify that a charge is legitimate, or prove that a payment happened. Always confirm recipient and amount in the payment application before authorizing a Pix.
Privacy and local processing
Unless the tool explicitly identifies an external lookup, input and generated output are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to CosmoTools. Avoid placing secrets in any web page and review downloaded results before using them in production.
Frequently asked questions
What is a Pix Copia e Cola code?
It is the text representation of a Pix BR Code. The payload stores EMV TLV fields used by payment apps, including recipient information and either a Pix key or a dynamic charge URL.
What is the difference between static and dynamic Pix?
A static code carries the Pix key and may include amount and TXID. A dynamic code carries a URL where the payer application obtains the authoritative charge data.
What does CRC16 validation confirm?
CRC16/CCITT-FALSE detects accidental changes or corruption in the BR Code text. A matching checksum does not prove that the recipient or charge is legitimate.
Does CosmoTools open a dynamic Pix URL?
No. The URL is displayed for inspection but is never requested automatically.
Is my Pix code uploaded or stored?
No. Decoding, structural checks, checksum calculation, copying, and JSON export happen locally in your browser.
