How the tool works
Enter the network name, choose its security type, and provide the password when required. Mark hidden networks explicitly. The QR Code and printable card update locally in the browser.
Supported input and output
The tool creates the widely supported WIFI text payload for WPA/WPA2/WPA3 Personal, legacy WEP, and open networks. Reserved characters in names and passwords are escaped before encoding.
Practical example
A cafe can enter its guest SSID and password, generate a card, and print it near the counter so customers can request a connection from a compatible phone camera.
Common use cases
Use the generator for homes, guest networks, cafes, restaurants, hotels, offices, event spaces, and temporary networks.
Limits and important checks
Device support varies, particularly for hidden networks, WEP, and WPA3-only configurations. Anyone who obtains the QR image can recover its encoded password, so replace exposed credentials when needed.
Privacy and local processing
Unless the tool explicitly identifies an external lookup, input and generated output are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to CosmoTools. Avoid placing secrets in any web page and review downloaded results before using them in production.
Frequently asked questions
Which Wi-Fi security types are supported?
The generator supports WPA/WPA2/WPA3 Personal through the compatible WPA payload value, legacy WEP, and open networks.
Can someone recover the password from the QR Code?
Yes. The password is encoded in the image and can be read by anyone who has access to it.
Is the Wi-Fi password uploaded?
No. The payload, QR Code, and printable card are generated locally in your browser.
